How do you handle Stress

Many people live very hectic lives, where stress is all too familiar. We’re stressed at home, we’re stressed at work, and we’re stressed in our relationships. It seems like no matter where we are, we are under stress of some sort. The worse thing that we can do, is to ignore it and act like it’s not a problem. Some of the stress that we are dealing with, can be dealt with just by, getting more sleep, planning our day ahead of time and talking things out with your partner, friend or sibling. Some stress, the chronic kind, can only be dealt with by a plan of action that helps to alleviate the factors that help to cause the stress. Or sometimes at best limiting the factors that help to cause the stress.

There is a better way to receive help in dealing with stress. Jesus stated in the book of Mathew (in the amplified translation), chapter 11 verse 28 “Come to me all you who labor and are heavy laden and overburdened, and I will cause you to rest. I will ease and relieve and refresh your souls. Take my yoke upon you and learn of me, for I am gentle meek and humble lowly in heart, and you will find rest relief and ease and refreshment and recreation and blessed quiet for your souls.”

In Jesus Christ, we can find rest, relief, ease and refreshment for our souls. Do you think that this might help us to deal with our stress? Jesus told his disciples not to be troubled, but that he would give them peace, his own peace. John 14:27 He said, that in the world the disciples would have tribulation, but in him they would have his peace. John 16:33

God doesn’t promise to make our lives completely stress free, but he does promise that in the midst of stress and things that cause it, we can be at rest and peace. Try calling on him and asking him to give you his rest and peace.
